What we're building.

Building technology that gives humans their time back.

Build update

Ceres' MVP design is complete. Database build and GIS-based market research are currently underway.

// Builder

Urania is designed and built firsthand by its founder, Sarah L. Imhoff, currently halfway through an Associate's degree in programming at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Nothing on this page is outsourced. What's here is a working system built in parallel with the fundamentals, by someone learning the craft in public while shipping it.

Ceres

Database build in progress
Stylists possess spatial, intuitive, pattern-based visual intelligence that tech has historically dismissed. Ceres rejects building down to stylists. A well-designed interface is the functionality. Visual intelligence has been doing the work all along, it just hasn't been respected by the tools it was handed. Ceres was built by someone who has it, for everyone who does.

The product: a booking and business management platform for independent booth-renter stylists. Priced at a single $20/month tier, undercutting the market leader on price while fixing its weakest feature: core booking UX.

Where it stands: the MVP design is complete. The database build is currently underway.

The research: GIS analysis is mapping independent booth-renter stylist concentrations against regional demographic data, to ground v1 in where the actual market is, not just where it's assumed to be.

Selene

Planned

The role: an AI layer built exclusively for Ceres, named for the moon goddess. Once Ceres' core platform is live, Selene sits on top of it, bringing intelligent scheduling assistance and business insight to the same booking data Ceres already manages. Scoped to Ceres alone, not a company-wide layer.

Right now: research into the target market's actual needs is running alongside coursework. Selene's scope is being shaped by real findings, not assumptions made ahead of the data.

Sophia

In theory

Sophia is the working name for Urania's own intelligence layer, distinct from Selene and not scoped to any single product. The name comes from the Greek personification of wisdom, regarded in some traditions as the ultimate creator. Where Selene serves Ceres, Sophia would sit at the level of Urania itself. Still a theory at this stage, not an active build.
